Wailua Bay View and Pono Kai Resort condominiums are the perfect place to launch your visit to “The Garden Isle.”

Wailua Falls, KauaiThe island of Kaua‘i lies at the northernmost part of our island state and geologically is one of the oldest. Lush gardens, waterfalls, sweeping vistas, and secluded beaches are hallmarks of this ancient jewel.

Explore the island by beginning on the Coconut Coast. One of the sights you will want to include is a visit to Old Kapa‘a Town. This beautiful town is truly like a step back in time. Originally a 19th century plantation town, it is now transformed into a bustling business area with fabulous shopping and delectable dining.

The famed Fern Grotto is another must that everyone should visit if they have the opportunity. You will be delighted as you ride along the Wailua River on a flat bottom boat, being entertained by local talents.

If you are looking for some great family fun during your stay, Lydgate State Park is the place to be. Here you can picnic, build towering sand castles, explore tide pools, and enjoy a fun-filled beach day. At the north end of the beach lies the ancient Hikina Akala Heiau. Built around 800 A.D., this cultural icon is notable because it is the first place that the sun touches in Wailua each morning.

To the west is majestic Waimea Canyon, known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The Waimea Canyon is a massive 3,600 feet deep, two miles wide, and an extraordinary ten miles long.

Kokee Natural History Museum is located at Kokee State Park at the top of Waimea Canyon Road and admission is free. This is a wonderful place to learn more about the natural history of Hawaii and see some of the beautiful flora and fauna that can be found in the area.

Kaua‘i is well-known for its hiking trails offering dramatic, sweeping views of water and white sandy beaches. If you’re here to hike, you’ll definitely want to visit the Na Pali (The Cliffs) Coast and State Park.

Whether you choose to hike Na Pali Coast or simply take a stroll along beautiful Wailua Bay, your vacation “home-away-from-home” with Condominium Rentals Hawaii will offer a peaceful retreat in Old Hawaii.
